Spring has sprung....

At least for today...tomorrow there may be snow...however that huge pile of snow in our front garden is gone and under all that snow I found this...embedded in ice, no less.
I  am always  amazed when Spring breaks through Winter and the ground softens and all the plants that were looking dead start to bud. God is so good.

Well, the cabinet and the blue table it sits on are a new addition to our home, the cabinet is a wonderful old primitive piece that has glass doors on the front and two panel doors on the back, very interesting. It has an adjustable shelf mechanism that I have never seen before. It is all made out of wood, no metal parts at all. I love it. At first I thought I would be selling this but maybe not, it looks so at home here. What can I say.
It didn't take long to fill, the bottom is going to hold quilts but I have to wait for the lemon oil to be absorbed.

Finally, the lemon oil is dry and it is safe to put the quilts in place. I'm thinking I may have to leave the doors open, there is a reflection from the windows and makes viewing the contents difficult.

And there it is in its final glory. The love seat in front is my next project, I'm going to paint the fabric a pale gray and the legs are going to be painted black. I've seen a few articles about using chalk paint to paint fabric so I going to give it a try. If you never see this sofa again you will know it didn't work, however, if it works, I will do a blog about each step and let you know how difficult it was.

Well, that's all for this week...

So, from my porch to yous...

Have a blessed Easter week...

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
