Fret not,neither be thou afraid...

That is one of my favorite verses from the Bible, the rest of the verse goes something like this..." for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth  go with you, He will not leave thee nor forsake thee." I am quoting that from memory and may have missed a few words, so please forgive me. The thought is He is with me everyday but sometimes I flit around like I'm on my own and forget to ask for His guidance,  He reminds me to talk to Him and He always comes through. God has been so good to me that sometimes I am just overwhelmed with His faithfulness.

Just when I think I've run out of things to fix up or alter He directs my path to a new source.  I just want to say  "Thanks".

OK! Now for some pictures, yes, I have some before pictures this time...
This is the before pic and it isn't too bad but up close there is a lot of damage ...
and Tim had to totally reconstruct the top and some of the drawers, the drawers on old dressers are always a challenge...but I think they are worth it.
So we did some match making with this piece.. I had this foot board from a youth bed I got at auction last Summer...I didn't know what I would do with it but I knew I loved the piece so I bought both head and foot boards.
 Isn't that a sweet pattern?
and here it is all painted and sooooooooo pretty in white but then oops, the sides had a lot of damage that would have required more work than I was prepared to do so I came up with the idea of decoupaging  something on the sides my first  thought was tissue paper or floral paper napkins...not one store in town had anything i could use, humm, what to do?
Lace, lace, beautiful lace, now this piece is shabby and oh so chic if I do say so myself.
Waiting to find a new home, soon I hope.

This is the before of a step back cupboard that just needed a little attention, however I gave it a lot,my first choice was to paint it red, and that was ugly, so my next choice was black and here are the results of that

Now ready to go to the shop, this has been a busy week. And that's all for now

So, From my porch to yours...

Have a blessed week...

AAH! Spring.

Well it really does feel like Spring even with a foot and a half of snow on the ground. Today the sun is shining and it is relatively warm outside. I know that Winter is still here but for today I'm feeling Spring.

I finished off the can of Turquoise paint on this sweet little settee, Tim did the handy man stuff again and I got to work painting. Here is the final result...

It was fun painting with this color of blue but that can of paint is history and the next project just screamed to be painted black, yep, I'm back into the black again.... take a look at this...

I wish you could see this in person, because it really is a pretty piece, it was a little top heavy, so Tim removed the glass and added a piece to the bottom to level it off and "Ta Da"   it is perfect...
A close up of the bench part...I added a sign to the back that says "EMPLOYEES ONLY" just to make the piece truly unique, ...You can see that in the final picture.
Suzi likes to check out the pieces when we are finished with them...I think she approves of this one...well it will be on its way the booth at Morning Glory Mercantile in the morning.
I hope it find a good home soon...I love this piece, it truly is an original.
Well, that's all for this time...

So from my porch to yours...

Have a blessed day...
